Women's wellness, pregnancy, and birth are not just parts of my vocation as a doula; they are a serious passion of mine. I am that friend who will ramble at lunch about the beauty of birth, and am not afraid to say words like vagina and cervix in the coffee shop over a latte. Don't judge.
Having attended four of my sibling’s home births, I grew up encircled by a mother and other women who believed in their bodies and that birth is natural, a hard but rewarding part of life. I love being a part of such a tender and strong part of a woman's life, and serving her and her family during the journey of birth and afterwards.
I believe that pregnancy, labor and birth are beautiful times in a woman’s life. Being able to support, encourage and be present with women in their unique birth journeys is a delight. I’ve felt honored to be at each and every birth I've attended--over 35 at last count. I have attended both hospital and home births, natural births and those with the assistance of epidurals and other medication, vaginal births and c-sections, and two successful VBACS in the hospital so far. I would say that I've "seen it all," but since each birth is so unique, there's no such thing. That's why I have the best job ever, and why I'd love to be your doula.

I will respect your choice for the kind of birth you desire. I will affirm your decisions and encourage you and your partner in any way I can.
I will be supportive emotionally, verbally and physically throughout your pregnancy and birth. I will use massage, touch, and counter pressure when you deem it helpful. I will surround you and your partner with compassion, care, expertise, and support. I will share my knowledge to help you achieve the unique birth that is right for you.
